Portal:

QUESTION: What is the Member Self Service (MSS) portal? 

Member Self Service (MSS) is a secure online resource that provides a new channel for communication.  This portal will give you access to your work history and benefits anytime and anywhere. 

QUESTION: Am I required to sign up for the MSS Portal?

No. The use of the MSS portal is optional.   MSS does not replace the current ways you can communicate with the Fund Office 

QUESTION: What devices can I use to access the MSS portal?

MSS portal can be accessed from any desktop, laptop, notebook, or tablet device running the supported browser such as Microsoft Edge version 42 and up, Chrome version 75 and up, Safari version 12 and up and Firefox version 52 and up. 

QUESTION: Can my dependents have access to MSS?

No, Dependents cannot access MSS at this time, however member can view all of dependents claims and eligibility information on the portal.   If your child is over 18 years old, your child must complete a Personal Representative Form to allow you access to his/her health history.

QUESTION: How do I register for the MSS portal?

QUESTION: What do I need to register for an MSS account?

You will need your social security number, date of birth, last name and registered contract information such as a home telephone number or a cell phone number or an email account for us to send the authentication code. 

QUESTION: I do not have a cell phone.  Can I still register for an MSS account?

Yes.  You can still register as long as you have at least an email or a landline.  We will send your verification via email or a telephone call 

QUESTION: How do I sign in to the MSS portal?

Security

QUESTION: Why do I need a verification code to sign in to my MSS account?

Your account security is a priority for us.   Therefore, we enable Two-Step Verification for all users.  Before you can sign-in to your account, you will be prompted to enter a 6-digit code.   You have an option to receive this code in your email, your text messaging or telephone call.   Once you enter the verification code, you can sign in to your account. 

QUESTION: I did not receive the verification code in my email.   What should I do?

The first thing you need to do is check your email Junk or Spam folder.   If the verification code email is located in these folders, mark the email as not junk or not spam.   You should be receiving future verification email in your inbox.   If the verification code is not in either Junk or Spam folder, give the Fund Office a call to verify your email address on file. 

QUESTION: What if I forget my password, how do I reset it?

Select Reset Password on the sign-in page and enter your Username and answer security questions to reset your password.
